Nearly 25 years ago, we started with a simple thought. We can do this, we can figure it out, we can do better.

Along the way, the work pulled in others who believed there were corners to turn and explore. A small company evolved - driven by instinct, principle, and impulsiveness to be part of something different, making stuff that pushed and challenged the norm. This was done with the belief that one’s greatness is in the agency of others; together, the creative output resonated, making people feel something - perhaps changed, and with that, what we did mattered, and we did better.

At some point, a few years in, we wrote a mission statement - one of those: What is your moonshot? The exercise seemed out of character and corporate, but we wrote one anyway - inspire action that connects humanity. It was pretentious at that moment, yet in retrospect, we have a real sense of accomplishment and gratitude.

While the challenges and sorrows have been many, the successes and joys have been many more. We delivered on that promise, with over 90x Emmy Nominations (and nearly 30x wins), a Peabody…and more.

There is something to say for following through on a moonshot; we are confident  we did that .

All in all a solid first lap.

And then you start thinking about other moonshots, what they might be, and how to pursue them, and perhaps that future doesn’t fit in a container of the past. So with that in mind we are changing shape and still have corners to turn. Mediocrity will not prevail if you actively give a fuck. Keep giving a fuck - the effort is worth it.

Onward to doing some more - better.
